About The Poster

Seldom, if ever, has there been a recorded work that was met with the anticipation, response, and even controversy of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper Album. Released fifty years ago, the highly original, creative, and delightful Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band remains a landmark musical work. It has been a key influence for countless musicians since its release.

But Sgt. Pepper was more than just a musical work: it was also an imaginative visual creation by the Beatles as well: the Beatles' concept, execution, and packaging of the Sgt. Pepper album was unique. As much as the Beatles music was listened to, analyzed, and duplicated, so too was Sgt. Pepper's cover. It was certainly an exceptional graphic breakthrough.

And not without its controversy. For years, rumors of the meaning of the various elements on the Sgt. Pepper cover and its included printed items abounded. Conjecture was plentiful of why the Beatles included each element, who the various personalities were, and how the cover photo was assembled. Chief among them were intimations that the Beatles made mysterious "changes" to the original design and photo on the cover.

Those Sgt. Pepper rumors can now be put to rest forever with this release of the Beatles' Original Sgt Pepper Album Cover Poster
